Avram Goldfaden - întemeietorul Primului Teatru Idiş din Lume

La puţin timp după ce Statul Israel şi-a proclamat independenţa, în mai 1948, România a recunoscut acest fapt. Astfel, România a devenit una din primele ţări care au recunoscut Statul Israel, iar relaţiile diplomatice s-au stabilit în luna iunie a aceluiaşi an.
În afara spectrului politic, la baza relaţiilor româno-israeliene stau legături culturale şi istorice. Imnul naţional al Statului Israel, Hatikva (Speranţa), are unele "influenţe" româneşti. Este important de menţionat că primul ambasador plenipotenţiar israelian acreditat la Bucureşti a fost celebrul pictor Reuben Ruvin, originar din România.
În perioada 2008-2009, Statul Israel organizează o serie de manifestări legate de marcarea a 60 de ani de la redobândirea independenţei şi de relaţii diplomatice neîntrerupte cu România.
În acest context, Romfilatelia şi Administraţia Poştală a Statului Israel au realizat această emisiune comună dedicată întemeietorului Primului Teatru Idiş din Lume, Avram Goldfaden (1840-1909). (Romfilatelia)

Shortly after the State of Israel proclaimed its independence in May 1948, Romania recognized it. Thus, Romania became one of the first countries to recognize Israel, and diplomatic relations were established in June, the same year.
Beside the political spectrum, there are cultural and historical ties at the basis of the Romania-Israel bilateral relations. The national anthem of the State of Israel, Hatikva (Hope), has some Romanian "influences". It is also worth mentioning that the first Israeli plenipotentiary ambassador accredited to Bucharest was the famous painter Reuben Ruvin, of Romanian origins.
In the period 2008-2009, the State of Israel organizes a series of manifestations related to the celebration of 60 years from the regaining of independence and of uninterrupted diplomatic relationships with Romania.
In this context, Romfilatelia and the Postal Administration of the State of Israel have achieved this joint stamp issue dedicated to the founder of the First Yiddish Theatre in the World, Avram Goldfaden (1840-1909). (Romfilatelia)
